“SELebrating” at The REACH-Kennedy Center

To kick off SEL week (first week in March), OSSE partnered with Dramatic Solutions Inc. and the Kennedy Center to host a professional learning session on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). The training took place at The Reach where DC educators learned how to incorporate drama-based activities that they can embed in their academic instruction while also reinforcing one or more of CASEL’s social and emotional learning competencies. As an additional treat, educators received a copy of a book, written by the Drama Docs, Dr. Carmen White and Dr. Lennie Smith, that includes all of the engagers and more!
