RESTORATIVE PRACTICES THROUGH DRAMA
DSI is consulting with Restorative DC to provide restorative practices workshops, professional development, and technical assistance to DC Public Schools.
MORE DRAMA: WORK READINESS THROUGH DRAMA
DSI was awarded funds through the Department of Employment Services use drama-based training to work with young adults from DOES DC Career Connections Program to help develop personal skills to prepare for the workforce. The 1-year program focuses on creating goals, overcoming obstacles, character development, and conflict resolution.
CAREER EXPLORATION AND WORK READINESS
DSI piloted a post-secondary education program with the Department of Employment Services with In-School and Out-of-School programs. The program provided case management, job placement, and work readiness training for participating young adults.
DRAMA IN THE CLASSROOM
DSI works as teaching artists with The Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts to provide interactive drama strategy workshops to students in the DC Public School System.
CAREER EXPLORATION FOR MIDDLE SCHOOLS
This partnership with Dramatic Solutions, Inc. and the Department of Employment Services invites middle schoolers to participate in the Master Series of our Signature- “Career Exploration through Drama” with a focus on social and emotional development and financial literacy. This model is consistent with ensuring that each participant is exposed to basic career competencies, and soft skills. ACT OUT: DRAMA THERAPY WITH INCARCERATED YOUTH
DSI in partnership with the Your Program is piloting a program with the Department of Employment Services to create a gun prevention program.
